This porcelain plate is a collection made with the Japanese Kintsugi technique.
Kintsugi, literally repairing with gold, is a Japanese practice that consists in using liquid gold or lacquer with gold powder for the repair of ceramic objects, using the precious metal to weld the fragments together. The practice stems from the idea that an even greater form of aesthetic and interior perfection can arise from imperfection and a wound.
The design takes on contemporary forms.
