Produced in Tangshan, the famous capital of Bone China, refined by hand, the decorative pieces are cut in half, creating new hybrids that juxtapose scenes and themes in the respective cultural imaginary. Bone china is a type of porcelain that is made up of bone ash, and the kaolin material, feldspar. Developed by English Potter Thomas Frye in the late 18th century, Bone China is known for its high levels of whiteness and transparency, and very high mechanical strength and chipping resistance.
